Indiana ranks 45th in the country in the Network for Public Education’s Annual Report. The Hoosier state received low scores in public school funding, teaching and learning environments.
Young is the president of the Evansville Teachers Association and a former teacher. She says it’s less of a reflection on the schools but rather on state education policies.
