Team Success former bookkeeper accused of stealing $340K

The former bookkeeper of Team Success, a Bradenton charter school, is suspected of stealing more than $300,000. In fact, through her attorney, Melissa Tapia, has admitted to writing 47 fraudulent checks and stealing at least $225,000 from the school. School authorities suspect Tapia stole more than $340,000 from the school and its management firm. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Randy Warren said Tapia is cooperating with investigators.
