Our mission: To preserve, promote, improve and strengthen public schools for both current and future generations of students.

Welcome to NPE 2.0!

npe2.0Introducing NPE 2.0! Network for Public Education members from across the country have told us that they would like a place on the web to meet, discuss ideas, and make new friends and allies. While our various sites on the web (like Facebook and Twitter), have helped us to grow, we have yet to offer a place for friends and allies to call our own.

So check out the new https://networkforpubliceducation.org and create an account by clicking on the Register button in the top left hand corner. After you have logged in, click on the Community tab in the top menu and check out our new Groups section. Find theHappy Birthday, Diane! group, join, and leave a message for our President and co-founder, Diane Ravitch!

Over the next few weeks, we will offer additional groups and forums, as well as our usual grassroots reports and tools kits. We will also integrate our NPE News Briefs as a way of bringing together the latest education headlines. Keep an eye out for blog posts from some of the most respected voices of our movement.

The new NPE website is a work-in-progress and its success will depend on the efforts of our members, friends, and allies. This is a great opportunity to bring closer together those who endeavor to fight to protect, preserve and strengthen our public school system!
