No Vouchers: Public money belongs in public schools
School boards across the state – including Hamblen County – have rightfully opposed the plan which would ultimately cost state funding to public schools, potentially affecting things like student-teacher ratios, arts and athletic programs and will likely result in a higher local tax burden as communities struggle to replace the removed state monies with local dollars.
