MSCS board denies seven of nine charter school applications after lengthy discussion
MSCS administration was recommending that all nine applications be denied. Only one of the schools, it asserted, had met the Tennessee Department of Education’s charter application criteria. And all of them had failed to meet the board’s criteria.
