Indian River County School Board revokes charter school contract for failing to open
Somerset Academy Inc., a Miami-based nonprofit charter management organization, applied in 2018 for a five-year charter to open in the Pointe West community off State Road 60, west of the Indian River Mall, the following year. The school never materialized. Instead, the company continued to delay the school’s opening for three consecutive years, according to records.
