An East Tampa charter school offered an alternative. Now it’s closing.
A charter school in East Tampa is retreating from its mission to provide an alternative to struggling elementary schools in that community. East Tampa Academy will become a preschool after the summer instead of the K-2 school that was launched in 2017.
