Why have a state report card?

The purpose of this report card is to assess each state’s commitment to its public schools and to let the public know what policies and practices will make their public schools stronger. Read our report and share it with friends and neighbors. Our report card explains the methodology we used to rate the states on six criteria, and why we believe these criteria are so important.
